Kind of a question and general discussion... I don't know a farrier who will do minis at a reasonable price...! I have one who does my Quarab for $50, he's a barefoot trimmer, and with the show coming up, I would like to get my minis done too...but $100 for the pair of them is a little ludicrous! So usually, I do them myself! I'm not the best but I have done a barefoot trimming course, and it certainly gets us by without wrecking their feet or paying a fortune. How does everyone else go about having their minis feet done? (And if anyone knows someone in the Hunter who will do a reasonable deal on two minis...let me know! )

I do my own minis, I only ever use a farrier for my big horses because I don't have the strength to do their feet myself!! _________________

We too do our own trims...when you have lots of horses it's somewhat of a necessity. We did have a farrier do a couple of trims on a mare that suffered from Laminitis but he showed us how to do the trim so we do her now too. The farriers in the Upper Hunter (well the ones our vet recommends anyway) charged us $30/trim so you may need to shop around.
