So excited right now!! bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce Hahaha. My two ponies have had a big transformation! I got some before and afters and WHOA...so stoked with how Middy has come out (and might get him remeasured...he could have lost 6ml in height with his coat being removed!). It was a last minute decision to have Middy done...I spoke with my clipper and realised how much easier it would be to treat his itch condition with shorter hair (for now) and thought...eh, why the hell not! Razz

Anywayz...Sparkle, BEFORE
(I have to change her nickname...I was calling her fluffhead!)

Sparkle AFTER (sorry, bad shot!)

Middy, BEFORE
(His nickname won't change. He'll always be "sh*ithead" Razz)

Middy AFTER

So glad I decided to get Middy done in the end!!! Very Happy

Wow! I love seeing before and after pics and have been waiting for these all week. Embarassed

Sparkles was gorgeous before but now she is even more beautiful!

I see you also decided to bite the bullet and clip Middy too (did the hair not grow back?). Are you showing him as horse or pony? Coz I hate to tell ya but if he is a pony, you were supposed to leave his feathers on..even though I saw about 4 ponies at a show the other week that had them clipped off. No

Yeah, he's a miniature pony (well "little pony" if you want to be technical about that frigging 6ml of overgrowth). I checked out horse shows magazine first (LOL) and saw a lot of AMPS ponies being shown without feathers, including a mare being shown by one of the ladies who runs AMPS so thought it'd be okay. I'm pretty sure it'll be fine anyway...

His bridle path is probably the same length as Sparkle's...but you would NEVER know under how thick it is!

Eh, whatever the technical rule is, he looks way better than he has in months! My main motivation to have him clipped was treating the itch as he's coming into itchy season...his summer coat will come eventually, but I will be able to manage it a lot better for now. Just thought I'd try it and if it doesnt work I won't do it again but if it does, whooo hooo! Very Happy

It's amazing what you can find under a thick coat! They look great! Smile
