PostSubject: Luddenham Show 14/2/10   Wed Feb 17, 2010 5:13 am

OK so my young stallion Junolan Celestial Prince had his 2nd ever show on Sunday and he went wonderfully! He won his class, and then took out Champion Colt/Stallion over 34". Aliasmel's colt took out Reserve.

I also took Duke, my little taffy gelding, along as well just because he is such a pleasure to do anything with, not because I think he is truly show quality (he is a gelding for a reason!) His last show was Luddenham in 2009 and he is not kept rugged or anything, I just plucked him out of the paddock on Friday, gave him a bath and rugged him that night. Well he did wonderfully too! He won his gelding class and then also took out Champion gelding under 34".

Very proud of my boys! Their results made up for the challenge of keeping them clean the night before due to the storm (only have one stable and newborn foal was in it), and having to brave the thick mud in the ring that we had to work out in!

Shush you!!! LOL... Can ya tell I am not used to winning 1st places!!!!!!!?? I didn't expect Duke to win Champion that's why I didn't bother stuffing around putting his show halter back on... how embarrassing!
