...and I've promised everyone, myself included, this is the last one for now! Very Happy (Dang, minis are just collectible!)

This is Jessie James, an AMPS yearling colt. He's very cute and needs a bit of work, but he'll be a fun summer project! Smile I got him home this afternoon and he's settled in well! Looking forward to showing him! Smile

Thanks! Smile

Nice colt, great photos as always.
Looks like he is very well developed for a yearling and has a bit of colty spunk about him?
He has a nice head and neck set, but looks more horsey than pony?

He is a very nice pony. I think he is more pony than horse.

The line between horse-pony is becoming too blurred.

I guess he is the "modern pony" that everyone is leaning towards these days. I still prefer the traditional types that are more like tiny Shetlands but with prettier heads! Laughing

But he is still a lovely looking boy Deltree!

Thanks guys! I must be a magent for the horse type vs pony type conversations, I remember it came up in my clipping thread, too! LOL! lol!

I couldn't tell you his height as its not on his foal recordings and I don't have a measuring stick, LOL, but he is tiny. I have a photo of him against Middy who is just over 87cms which I'll put up (as soon as I get my broken computer back haha) Smile He also has this big floating trot...I'm totally in love with it!

He's definitely pony...his breeder used to breed them more to the miniature shetland type, but has incorporated more "leg" into her breeding program, as thats what her buyers are demanding Smile I think he'll show his pony typeness when he matures a bit more, too. Either way I'm not fussed, he's a cool pony either way! Very Happy

Aw, pooy Billy! I love Billy Razz

Anywho, he'll be at the MH&PE Gala! He's a dream on the float, so Sparkle will appreciate him more than Middy, hahahaha.

Ahaha! No, it's cool! Very Happy I enjoy the conversation, LOL Very Happy

He was bred by Jeanette from Ambaura Park (where I'm getting my filly from, too!). She has such beautiful horses and is so dedicated to her breeding. She's gotta stop putting horses up for sale or I'll buy them all lol!

Oh, does anyone know where is the best place to get a good quality show bridle and bit for this guy from? I need one by January 16th if possible, but definitely by the 23rd....

Horse's Warehouse is the place to look for all that sort of stuff, but they don't have any nicer bridles in a lower price range so I ended up buying Kev's bridle via Small Sales from a lady in WA and I am very happy with it. THW also has mini sized bits.

Theres a couple of mini pony bridles on ebay at the moment, brand new for around $50.00.
Not sure if they would fit a yearling, but it will give you something to use untill you save up for a really nice one.
