After a 12 month absence from the show ring we finally got back out there for this show which included performance as well.
We took our stunning stallion Southern Star Flashback (Jack) and our gorgeous filly Yarreh Lane Twinkle Toes (Tete) with great results and lots of competition.

Jack: 1st in Miniature Stallion over 3yrs (He was a little naughty in the champion ring to be considered)
3rd in horse of any other colour
Jack is too lazy for performance and would rather stop and knock it over so he can walk through LOL

Tete: 2nd in Small Horse filly under 2yrs
2nd in horse of solid colour
2nd in Junior small horse trail
2nd in junior small horse hunter...of which both were her first time.

Photos??

Oh and was there a big turnout in the classes? It seems I know a lot of people that went and they all seem to have done really well.

Yeah there was a fair number of horses there which made for great competition. Since there was no where to tie the horses I had to hold a horse while taking photo's so most of them are blurred. And I took video of the performance stuff so Peter can see what he was doing wrong...then I found out later that I could have taken her in myself wearing what I had on Rolling Eyes

I have plenty of photos of you Wink They'll be going up on my photography page soon, I'm editting them right now Very Happy

Congrats, you did so well and your stallion was so lovely. I did okay-ish too LOL, considering Sparkle was hairy. Wish they'd had more champs on offer (like champ stallion, mare, etc). Oh and Sparkle destroyed the jumping course, LOL, you probably saw that!!! She lost her nerve on the first jump and just went nuts after that...(and she'd just been over the practice jumps perfectly and was jumping well at home, LOL). I had plenty of trouble getting her on the float even...after that first jump she got all spooky and neurotic for the rest of the afternoon Rolling Eyes Hahaha was a memorabel experience!

Your photo's are great Deltree, and there are some good ones of my boy. Smile
I wish I had known before hand that you were there as I would have got you to get some of my filly too.
We left after Junior events were over as we had been up since 4.30am and had a 2 hour drive home so I didn't get to see the senior events. Tete was a little weary at first which is why we had her go and smell everything before they had set up, but being her first event it was understandable. Hope Sparkle gets over her nerves for you quickly. Wink
