What on earth is a 'classic head?" I am going to a show and they have this class and rather then waste $10 i thought i would ask if any of my horses posses this classic head and if they dont, please tell me so like i said I dont waste my money.time putting them in the class.

To be honest i would save your $10, classic head is a hard class because there's usually a LOT of entrants. The judges look for a fine head that is in proportion to body and shows a good throatlatch/defined jowl, perky ears and big alert eyes.

they also like really big defined eyes.
nice small little muzzle.
dished head.
but hey every judge is different.
that is just what i have found when i was showing horses in America

Oh yes, I was going to say small muzzle and dishy face, but I have seen horses with neither of these win a best head class.. so it definitely depends on the judge I think and if they are going for the arab look or not.

My roan colt (who can be seen in my avatar <----- ) was the 2009 State Champion Classic Head 2 yrs under.

Might give you an idea of what they are looking for...

I've seen some "corkers" win a Best/Classic Head class! Laughing

Here is my Arab Pony mare, she won her Classic Head at the All Arabian in a class of about 12.
The 2nd place getter is usually first in these classes so to beat him was wonderful.

Some more pics.

I did a show recently & expected (yes i did LOL) for my 2 to place & i will admit to being a touch bias but they have lovely/ideal heads. (JMO).
Of the 3 chosen for the lineup, the 2nd placegetter was my pic for first. So meaning, it really is hard to judge this type of class.

This is my stallion.

And my filly.

Not the best pics above LOL.
